The Music Theatre Louisville

Music Theatre Louisville (MTL), the resident theatre company of Iroquois Amphitheater, is a non-profit community-based theatre company devoted to creating high-quality, diverse, and affordable entertainment. For 25 years MTL has produced a summer season consisting of musicals selected from the traditional Broadway musical theatre canon. During the school year, the organization’s educational mission provides site-based programming in area schools. Additionally, musical theatre training workshops are offered throughout the year.

A major, two-year renovation of the Amphitheater was completed in 2003. New state-of-the art sound and lighting systems, additional seating, improved accessibility, and a roof shelter for the stage and half of the seating are among many improvements. The Iroquois Amphitheater has once again emerged as a beacon for cultural activity in Louisville’s South End, where musical theatre has played under the stars since the 1930s. Please join us!
